I bought this specifically to clean my stairs. The carpet was nasty and matted down. This vacuum did a great job cleaning. I wish I took before pictures because carpet looks so much better and feels clean. This vacuum was able to sit perfectly on the stairs. I also love that it was so easy to clean afterwards. The dirty tank rinsed out so easily with no odd nooks and crannies. The brush attachment comes completely apart (3 pieces) making it easy to get all the dirt and crud cleaned out and keeping it looking like new. I especially loved the hose cleaning feature. So genius! I also have the Bissell Little Green machine. I also love this but I love the Hoover more. Compared, the Bissell’s tank is harder to clean out, the brush doesn’t come apart so I’ve had to buy replacements when it gets gunked up and it doesn’t sit as nicely on the stairs. I also like the bigger brush offered with the Hoover as it scrubbed the stairs better and took less time to clean.

So far so good

Used it about 3 times and it works great, but i did noticed it could be leaking a little, either that or i spilled without noticing. Will update if it was actually leaking!

Good suction

So easy to use

I have cats and dogs that just love to create little messes on my carpets and furniture. This has been a lifesaver for me. The clean up is so easy.The feature I love the most is the tool for cleaning the hose. You just stick the tool on the end of the hose and pull the trigger while the machine is on. It cleans the entire house and empties it out in the dirty bin. No more smelly hoses. Love it!The suction is ok. It gets the majority of the water off and the surfaces dry quickly.Great purchase and would recommend.

Good suction and spray

The most important thing with portable carpet cleaners is good suction and spray force, and this has that. It should do just fine for interior carpet and upholstery cleaning.I am less enthusiastic for auto cleaning. The hose is about three feet too short (you have to keep the unit within arm’s reach while using it) and it would better if the power cord was five feet longer. The carpet cleaning attachments are rather large and bulky for auto cleaning but should work better on interior carpet.Update: I have used this unit to spot clean interior carpets. I am upgrading my rating to 5 stars. It is a well-designed unit without much room for improvement.For best results with this or any other spot cleaner, suggest treating dirty spots with a carpet stain pre-treatment. I then spray the areas to be cleaned with a garden sprayer using a soap solution and water mixture and scrub with a deck brush. Let let the soap solution work on the grime for at least 30-40 minutes to break it down. Then use this unit to clean up the dirty water. You can just fill the solution tank with plain water and this helps to pick up both dirt and soap from the carpets for the final cleaning.I previously had an earlier generation Hoover portable cleaner. I’d say this unit is just as good and probably better. I’m happy with the purchase.
