LENOVO LAPTOP

Only had it close to a month and so far so good. First time I own a Lenovo. Love my laptop. It’s so easy to use, I’m glad it’s not a touch screen. Love the way it looks as well. Highly recommended.

I love Lenovo

This is my 4th Lenovo laptops and it might be my last. THIS laptop included Windows 11 and Windows 11 it totally unusable. It won’t allow any application to be downloaded and installed that is not approved by Microsoft. My preferred browser, my preferred email client, my preferred word processor — all are essential to my personal and business lives and are simply not useable on this laptop. I had to return it.

Garbage

Do not buy this laptop. It take 5 minutes for it to catch up when simply click the calendar in the bottom right hand side of the screen. I have tried everything to optimize its speed but nothing works. It took 48hrs just to get it to download all of the updates just to be able to see the desktop screen. And still, it lags with every click.

Battery Life Unacceptable

Bought this to take notes / perform online testing.Two Microsoft Edge tabs and OneNote open after two hours and thirty minutes of class, the battery life went from 99% to 41%, the reason why I monitored it was because the first day of class I went in with a fully charged battery and after afew hours I had received a warning that the battery was low.Totally unacceptable, I could see it if I was streaming, gaming, etc, but a brand new laptop using minimal resources should not go through battery life that quickly.

Garbage product, incompetent service

I bought this product about a week ago and it died yesterday, it just went out in the middle of what I was doing. It wasn’t overheated, it was plugged in the whole time I owned it, and it hadn’t been damaged. I called service and the people who didn’t hang up on me (that happened 4 times) went through the same step of holding down the power button to get rid of static or whatever. One of the people did have me hold down the little button on the side but that was no better. The graphics on the machine were OK but any visual movement (on even the simplest games) was very jerky. Nobody at service had any suggestions on retrieving a week’s worth of lost work from the hard drive. I had had a similar experience with Lenovo before but I thought it was just bad luck; I was wrong. The machine is clearly defective (though the fingerprint scanner was pretty nifty) and the Lenovo service department is useless; I guess they figured that if they hung up on me enough times that I would give up, or maybe they just don’t know how to operate a telephone. Now I have to redo a week’s worth of work unless I want to open it up and void my warranty. Lenovo is worse than useless and I obviously won’t give them a third chance. I wonder what they’ll think when they open the return box and see the lights still flashing (though I haven’t had time to rate the battery). I can’t turn them off without a hammer.

Touch pad does not work

Touch pad did not work when I received it. Contacted Lenovo support and was able to get it working for a few days. After contacting Lenovo support numerous times, they recommended I send it in for service. I can not afford to be without a computer for two weeks so they suggested I return it to Amazon. I started this process only to find out I COULD be charged up to 60% restocking, missing parts, scratches or damaged fees plus pay for the shipping. Since the computer works with a mouse I have chosen to live with this condition rather then risking up to half the original cost. Amazon and PCOnline customer service SUCKS!
