New hiking back pay k

Just received this and will be packing for a 10 day hiking trip along the California central coastal next week. Quality appears good with lots of pockets and room to pack what I need. I will be using my 3 liter hydration pouch with it. Update in a couple of weeks after using and doing a full evaluation

Good adjustability, quality, and space

Being a smaller person I was worried about it being too big or not fitting properly and even though the waist strap is a little too big and low, the arm straps are very comfortable and I was able to adjust them for my size. I’m going to use this backpack for both school and trips as my last bag that I’ve had for years is ripping in a few places and is smaller than I’d prefer. The fabric feels really nice and seems to be durable even though it is a little thinner than expected.

Great backpack for hiking, comfortable and light!

This is a great backpack for hiking, very light and comfortable. I’ve been using it exclusively for the last month, about 6 trips in total. I love all the pockets and nifty doodads it has. It has all the things any good pack should have, like water bladder pocket, bladder hook strap, water tube hole, water bottle pockets, phone pocket, hideaway rain cover, bottom adjustable dual straps, and pockets aplenty. The primary space is big enough for stuffing a jacket and large snacks even sharing that space with the bladder. The secondary space has 3 pockets for slim items and a slot that is deep enough for a 8×11 notebook (or tablet). The shoulder pads have enough cushion for a comfortable day long hike and keeps you dry with breathable pads. Stitching is impressive and looks well made, should be quite durable long term. I did have to poke a whole in the phone pocket so that headphone wires could route properly to the line port. Just a minor bug on an otherwise well thought out backpack. I would buy this again without any doubt, great hiking backpack!

I love this Backpack!

I’ve had it for about a month and it’s been great. The breathable padding has kept me from sweating so far. I have taken it on several hikes already and the durability as well as comfort have been great. There is no indication of wear and tear after wearing it for a several backcountry hike in the UP.

Nice for lighter loads

Disclaimer: I have no backpacking field experience. Yet. This is my second backpack (not counting ordinary school backpacks). My first backpack was a 90L external frame backpack. I got this 50L because I wanted something a little smaller and the 90L wasn’t terribly comfortable.This thing is super comfortable on my back with around 30lbs of stuff in it. It fits me like a glove. The stitching looks good. No loose threads anywhere. However after packing, trying it on, unpacking, packing, and trying it on a handful of times at home, I doubt this thing will last long. I can already see areas where the seams want to split (the stitching is spreading out). With a lighter load, it would probably be just fine. Therefore, I’m thinking the 40L would be excellent at these prices ($40/40L, $50/50L) if you only need 40L. Again, nothing has ripped yet but I expect it would out on the trail for 3+ days.Pros: Fit, feel, looks, price.Cons: Not super durable but not super flimsy either. The zippers on the belt pockets were a little jingly, so I ran some cord through them the way most of the other zippers have cords in them.

Great pack!

I love this pack. You can fit a lot in it. It has multiple roomy pockets, plenty of straps and large water bottle holders. The top pocket is quite small but great for keys or other small items. The straps are comfortable. The “frame” is sturdy yet soft. I like that it comes with a rain cover and a waterproof zip bag.

This backpack is well made, well designed, and easily adjustable for a good fit. I particularly like that there are two main sections (as opposed to one) and that each section has multiple, inner pockets. At first, I thought I would want more small, shallow pockets, especially ones with zippers, as this backpack only has three small, zippered compartments. But this turned out not to be an issue at all. While using the bag, my items were all strategically organized, easily accessible, and well-secured. The pack itself is also reasonably light, and the number of zippers, straps, and clips makes it particularly user-and stuff-friendly. I also love that the backpack comes with a light-weight pouch, a rain cover, a separate pocket for the rain cover, a brightly colored whistle in case of emergencies, and a hole for my headphones’ wire, which, I suspect, could also be used for a camelback. All in all, this is a great, reliable find, and I can’t wait to use it again.

Very good budget backpack

Disclaimer: I received this product for free.For the price, this is a solid backpack. The pockets and compartments are usable and convenient, the size is excellent, it’s very lightweight, it’s comfortable, and it comes with a rainfly – which is a very nice feature.Time will tell if it is durable after a summer of usage, but for what it is worth it seems decently rugged. I will come back in a month or two or three and update this review if my feelings change one way or another.EDIT:It survived several hikes over the summer and fall. I would highly recommend this backpack!EDIT again:Over a year later and still going strong. This is an excellent backpack that is actually worth a five-star rating.I would also like to point out that the company insisted I leave this product a five-star review even before I had used it. When I explained that I would not leave a review for a product I have not used, they complained. Such is the environment Amazon has created.
