I was surprised how solid it felt for a folding recliner, padding is worth the extra money!

*To lean back, you push your feet against the foot bar, not pushing back on the arm rests. This makes it very easy to do as long as you’re not a little kid. Pressing your calves against the bottom half raises the chair back to upright, also very easy.This chair came up for review so I snagged it, and I’m glad I did.The chair I received is all black, nothing is gray.Out of the box this thing was nearly fully assembled, just had to lay the padding on and do shoelace ties in 4 spots.There’s a fabric covered foam roll that slips over the foot section, and your feet/ankles/calves may rest on that depending on your height.Using the padding makes it much more comfortable, and you still have the option of just the mesh on this version.At 6’1″ 210lbs this felt very solid, and the cast aluminum locking mechanisms worked well.We’re already thinking of potential uses for this thing, including sitting out on the pier, under a shade tree at a car-picnic, or at some other outdoor event. It folds up nicely and I don’t have to take the padding off, just unclip the cup holder.Setting it back up is just as easy, just unfold it. No latches or pins to fool with, it just opens until it stops and it’s ready to sit in.The cup/phone holder is nice but you’ll want a little piece of wood on it if you’re using coffee mugs/plates. You could also just leave the cup holder part home, because it’s not required.IMO it’s too bulky to strap on your back and haul it very far, because you’re gonna have other things to carry.As a reviewer we pay income tax on all these retail values, it’s not actually free for us in the end. I would buy this chair if it was on sale.

It’s sturdy

This is a good chair. I don’t like that it doesn’t go back very far.It’s comfortable and made very well. It’s strong and should hold up well over time.It doesn’t need the padding but it feels nice and soft.The tray that snaps on the side doesn’t sit perfectly level and doesn’t connect very tightly to the frame but it’s functional.

Great setup for normal sized folks; no skinny sitter here

Everything you want in a zero gravity chair. It’s got good recline positions and stoppage.Nice cup rest and phone holder will hold two beverages or a round sound bar easily.The removable cushion is sweet for use when it’s not so hot outside. Take it off for hot days to avoid sweating all over it and yourself.The round lock ring makes this chair better than others.Be aware it will hold weight but the opening is still just 20 inches. Which is a little wider than the cushion.More for those who have lap sitters than needing a wide seat.

my favorite chair!!

I have been looking for a chair like this for so long! I love to sit out in the sun and this chair is SO comfortable, I could sit out all day. It is easy to open and put together (comes with photo instructions) and includes a detachable drink holder, a head rest, an eye mask, and ear plugs! The cushion attaches easily and stays on well. It moves up and down with ease and even has a feature to lock the height in place if you don’t want to move around. Well-made and sturdy. I am a fairly thin person, so this isn’t an issue for me, but, even though it says it can hold up to 440 lbs, it is not a very wide chair, so keep this in mind. Really happy with this chair and look forward to spending lots of summer days in it!

Super easy to unfold and setup. Cup holder fits nice and snug, cushion is comfy, bungees are a good suspension and are doubled, which is great. Chair frame is nice and sturdy and armrests, although plastic. Feel nice and solid. Foot bar cushion and head rest cushion are nice touches too. The locking mechanism and track under the armrests that is used to lock the chair in pretty much an infinite number of lounge positions, are heavy duty metal and the locking ring levers are smooth and very easy to operate.The only complaint I have—and it’s pretty minor—isn’t with the chair itself, but with the main cushion. The little fabric ties that you use to tie the cushion to the frame are very thin and feel/look like they’d wear out pretty quick. Not a huge deal, but worth noting. Overall I’d rate the chair 4.5/5. I’m a vine reviewer, so I did not pay for the chair, but it’s so nice that my wife wants me to order 2 more. Price is just about right. Not too cheap, but you get what you pay for with this one.
